Huw has organised and led commercial tours by bike, foot and ski across Australia, in the Himalaya, NZ and in Europe for more than three decades.
As well as bespoke tours that can be created for the many places Huw knows well, each winter Huw guides a limited number of ski trips in the Snowy Mountains (not surprisingly now called Alpine Odyssey!). Invariably there is also at least one week-long Sweet South Island Singletrack MTB tour to NZ each year and one 3 week Biking the Boot MTB tour to Italy. Biking The Boot
4 MAY – 24 MAY 2024
This incredible 3-week trip starts with an 11 day MTB tour crossing the country from near Roma in the west, to Romagna in the north east through the Apennine hill country. We ride through Umbria, Tuscany, and finish in the Emilia-Romagna region. Then we head up into the Alps and spend 6 days traversing the magnificent Dolomites from Cortina to finish in the mountain bike town of Riva Del Garda at the head of Italy’s largest lake. In total we ride some 800km.

The 2023 week will see us ride in the Nelson region ahead of some overnight singletrack tours across the stunning Heaphy Track and the incomparable Old Ghost Road.
Alpine Odyssey Ski Tours

Huw has been guiding backcountry ski tours in the Snowy Mountains for some 30 years. Along with spending a vast amount of time in this, some of his favourite country, he has also traversed the 700 km length of the Australian Alps in winter not once but twice. Firstly in 1997 then again, 25 years later in 2022. Why not recycle the name and logo for his winter tours?!
